The CoServ Charitable Foundation recently approved a $3,150 grant that will purchase school supplies for 21 campus programs that directly serve at-risk youth in the Communities in Schools of North Texas (CISNT).
Communities in Schools of North Texas is a non-profit organization that works with students who have the potential to graduate and succeed academically, but decide to drop out. This organization addresses the root of these problems and works to find solutions.
The purpose of CISNT is to keep students from dropping out of school and to deliver programs that focus on supportive guidance and counseling, health and human services, parental and family involvement, career and employment awareness, and enrichment activities and educational enhancement.
With this funding, CISNT will be able to provide basic school supplies, calculators, books and school uniforms to disadvantaged or at-risk students who would otherwise not have access to such items.
The CoServ Charitable Foundation is proud to play a role in supporting education in North Texas and giving back to the communities in our service area.
